Welcome to New Ulm – The Christmas City

New Ulm’s first annual Christkindlmarkt (kris/kind/dill/mart) will be held on Friday, November 29 from Noon to 8 pm and Saturday, November 30 from 9 am to 4 pm. It is a Christmas festival and marketplace that will showcase handmade works and performances by local artisans. As a new community event, it’s intent is to foster arts and heritage, revive cultural traditions and promote family values. In general, the event was created to spread good will and refocus on the spirit of the coming holidays.

The event is located at the New Ulm Event Center. The public is invited to the Opening Ceremony starting at Noon with the horse drawn carriage arrival of the Christkind, Miss Jenny Gag.
